Church of San Pietro - Trento

Behind the Venetian neo-gothic façade, which was built between 1848 and 1850 and designed by architect Pietro Selvatico, sits the 15th-century church of San Pietro, the reconstruction of a previous ecclesiastical building of which there are records from as early as the 12th century.
The area inside the church is divided up into three naves and two side chapels. The presbytery is home to a marble altar from the 19th century, decorated with two statues of St. Peter and St. Paul – to whom the church is dedicated – sculpted by artist Giovanni Battista Fattori di Trento.
