Pietra Castle
In Calliano there is the beautiful Castel Pietra. Castle built on top of a rock mass with not so much purpose of residence, as strong for defensive use, bulwark from the south to the city of Trento, an interesting example of alpine fortified architecture. The tower of the XIII century dominates over the whole of it, to which the other fortified bodies were added in later times. However, other elements of interest are inside the castle: for example the frescoed walls of the Sala del Giudizio dating back to the second half of the fifteenth century, referable to the Venetian school and depicting scenes of medieval life, with a hunting and chivalric theme.
